This is How God Works!

For the past few weeks (or was it months?), I had a struggle. The struggle is keeping my quiet time consistent. The time when I talk with the Lord and hear from Him is being neglected. No reason could cover the fact that I am slowly crawling away from His will.

However, the Lord is gracious. He made me realize my mistake in a timely manner. Awhile ago, I suddenly realized the fact that I was not having quiet time as of late. I asked my friend to pray for me, and I had my quiet time.

God sometimes works in funny ways. You see, the next article on my devotional was entitled "Prayer Discovers God's Agenda". The title alone made me realize that I am not only lacking in my quiet time, but I am also lacking in my prayer life. I suddenly pondered when was the last time I had a "real" prayer to God? Boy, the resulting thought was harsh. I couldn't even think of the last time I had a real prayer. Most of the time, my prayer was mechanical. (ie. during meals, etc.) Harsh isn't it?

Jesus prayed on many occasions in the Bible. If Jesus prays, what more us? Who are we to even forget talking to our Heavenly Father? That was the realization.

So we see God working. Two birds in one stone as one would say. I only thought about restoring my quiet time, but I ended up realizing that my prayer life is lacking as well. But God is merciful and gracious. He always gives us another go at things. :) So this time, I hope I don't disappoint as I continue on through the year.

How about you? How's your walk with God? Good? Bad? Lukewarm? Allow God to speak to you now! :) I hope we will always listen to God's call. 24/7. :)

"Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed." Mark 1:35

God bless us as we continue to become more like Christ. :)

A Very Late Message

A very late Merry Christmas and a late Happy new year! May this 2010 be a year where we all learn something important and relevant. :D God bless :)

-------------------------------------------------------------

"Si Villar lang ang tunay na mahirap."
- by this statement alone, all of us are supposed to be rich :D wow, nice try Villar. (thanks for the joke Abram)

- when will politicians stop using the poor people to propel themselves into political positions?

- why don't they just do what they say in the ads? oh yea, their platforms are not feasible. eliminate poverty? who are you kidding? it won't happen in the next presidential term. at least alleviate would have been a better term.

2010 Presidential Election
choose wisely guys. :) don't go with the flow.

All right! first post of 2010 :D will post more in the coming days, if laziness does not strike, on my experiences for the past few weeks. :)

again, happy new year to everyone. :)
